In the spring of 2020, I asked a brilliant playwright (who also happens to be my sister) if she would be up for a challenge: writing the screenplay for a short film that took place entirely in the New York walk-up apartment where I was hunkering down with roommates, featuring only one actor (the only one of the aforementioned roommates willing to appear on camera). She delivered. The result was jonah lived in a whale., a short film about faith, isolation, and fish.
